Unfortunately, his first trip to the New World is as a prisoner. From the Fens to London, out to sea, and in the New World, Barnabas' trianing and education from his father stay him in good stead.

Not your typical western, Sackett's Land is the start of a saga that stretches through 17 novels by Louis L'Amour. A quick, enjoyable read.
